2011 annual meeting
On May 3, 2011, Beta Phi Mu, Epsilon Chapter held its 2011 annual meeting at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Durham. Twenty new members were inducted and two scholarships were awarded. There was also a change in board leadership as Mary Ruvane handed over the president’s gavel to Donna Nixon, and Lynne Bisko and Shannon Tennant ended their terms as co-secretary / treasurers. Emily Jack was elected vice-president / president-elect and Sarah Jorda was elected secretary / treasurer. Our guest speaker was John Blythe, Special Projects and Outreach Coordinator for UNC’s North Carolina Collection.
