The Epsilon Chapter of Beta Phi Mu held its 2018 dinner meeting and initiation ceremony on Thursday, May 9th, at Mediterranean Deli in Chapel Hill. We inducted new members, awarded the Achievement Award, and elected new officers.

Achievement Award

The 2019 Achievement Award was presented to Lauren Li. The Achievement Award is given to the graduate who acquired the highest grade point average and demonstrated qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

Guest Speakers

Durham County Library’s Sarah Alverson (Community Engagement Librarian) and Faith Burns Phillips (Interim Manager Main Library) talked about their library’s recent efforts to provide inclusive programming and spaces, including a sensory room in the newly renovated Durham County Library Main branch.
